Studying as an empty nester is a trying time. Over the past few years, I have worked an average of two full time jobs at the same time. While I have experienced financial difficulties, what I do not have financial concerns is my free time.
Deciding the way I invest my free time is one of the most important decisions I have made during this time. In this post, I will share five things you need to make as an empty nester.
Learn the art of cleaning
Not only do I dust, clean my house, or vacuum, but I have also attended workshops and classes. While cleaning the house, dust, and I have been trying to learn as much as possible.
During the day, I ask my dad to pull out his vacuum cleaner and brush attachment. He will give me the vacuum cleaner and brush attachment, but I have to say that I get my full satisfaction cleaning house from there.
Getting rid of the rust, splashing in water, making sure the shower is clean, and the running water in the toilet are extremely enjoyable.
For over twenty years I have always made decisions about education and household responsibilities based on how long I would have to move or have to sleep without assistance. However, while I work full time, I can stay in one place and therefore, can use this time to learn more about myself.
Clean and organize the house
As an empty nester, my house is always messy and messy. This makes it hard to entertain visitors because people treat the house as a no-go.

We all do things we are not too keen on doing. Every once in a while, we call upon a friend to help out. That is the thing about an empty nester. The more you do something, the more you will start to do that when you are no longer an empty nester.
As you learn new things, you will realize that you have a tendency to live a little selfish life. In fact, the more you play the part of an empty nester, the more things you can take with you as your eldest child.
I do not mean that I enjoy making decisions of how I spend my free time, but I am a person who shares multiple interests. This could be gardening or home improvement projects. This means that you have the freedom to decide how you spend your free time.
Do something you enjoy
My best free time is actually my most relaxing free time. This is because I don’t have anyone telling me what to do and I have the freedom to do something that I like.
Since my husband and I recently started renting, we moved out of our home in an apartment. This has made my free time more fruitful.
I got to choose the kind of food I eat for my lunch. I feel like a people who pays to eat out and cut corners on food.
This means that I have to make the decision to eat home cooked meals. While I enjoy eating out but I can’t regret if I cook. I love home-cooked meals and I rarely eat from fast-food restaurants.
Practicing good habits
This is something I have been very successful at, and if you are wondering why is the place is all worn out. My husband and I recently discovered a service called health into your home. The service does not only clean and organize your house but will take care of any maintenance that you might have neglected.
This service has also helped me to become a better person. Cleaning and clearing out the mess, while making the house spotless is not only enjoyable, but it also makes me a better person.
As an empty nester, a cleaner will make your house attractive. These life changes are directly related.
